Seoul is easily one of the coolest cities we have ever visited. It feels like a perfect blend of everything we love about travelling. It is incredibly clean, feels very safe, and despite its sheer size, it is remarkably easy to get around thanks to the excellent public transport. There is a strong local culture running through the city, alongside a real obsession with modern dining and beautifully designed cafés. Everyone seems effortlessly fashionable, the food scene is outstanding, and when you compare it to cities like Tokyo or Singapore, it is surprisingly affordable.

We spent seven nights in Seoul as part of our South Korea trip, and it still did not feel like enough. From neighbourhoods that reward slow wandering to late nights eating and drinking well, it is a city that pulls you back in.
