Best Bars in Milos, Greece

Milos is best known for its otherworldly beaches, quiet fishing villages, and laid-back island pace, but that doesn’t mean the nights are dull. While the island doesn’t go big on nightclubs or wild beach parties, it more than makes up for it with a handful of beautiful bars that combine strong drinks, local charm, and stunning settings.

Make sure you check that these places are still open before going.

Akri Bar - Adamas

Right on the waterfront in Adamas, Akri is the perfect spot for a sunset drink with a view. Its name means “edge,” and true to that, the bar juts out over the bay, giving you a panoramic look over the harbour as the sky turns pink. Expect chill music, a relaxed crowd, and a solid menu of cocktails and local spirits.

Mosaic – Plaka

Tucked away in a narrow alley in Plaka, Mosaic serves up excellent cocktails in colourful takeaway cups — ideal if you're planning to walk up to the famous church for sunset. It’s the unofficial “last stop” before heading to the viewpoint, and the drinks are surprisingly good for somewhere so casual. Try their spicy margarita or one of their signature fruit blends.

Utopia Café-Bar – Plaka

If you're not in a rush, make time for Utopia, just a few steps from the sunset viewpoint in Plaka, closer to the town. It’s the most iconic bar in Milos for a reason. The terrace is small, the seats fill up fast, but the view is unbeatable. Order a glass of wine or a cocktail, settle in, and enjoy the slow fade of day into night.

O! Hamos! Tavern - Adamas

Our favourite restaurant in Milos (and quite possibly in the world!), have seating out on the beach where you can relax and have a drink. Perfect for watching the sunset before dinner!

Below are a handful of bars that we had on our list as part of our research but we did not get a chance to visit during our trip.

Deep Blue Beach Bar – Paleochori

A proper toes-in-the-sand kind of place. Deep Blue is set on Paleochori Beach on the south coast of the island and serves up icy drinks, music, and chilled vibes all day. It's perfect for an afternoon mojito after a swim or a casual cocktail with your feet buried in hot sand. They often have DJs and themed evenings in high season.

Aragosta – Adamas

Aragosta doubles as a stylish restaurant and bar right on the port in Adamas. By night, it leans more lounge than tavern, with good wine, polished cocktails, and a slightly more refined feel. Great for a dressier evening out that’s still island-casual.

Cactus Café Bar – Adamas

A small but lively spot in Adamas with a loyal following, Cactus is where you’ll find the late-night crowd. The music is louder, the lights are lower, and the drinks keep flowing. It's one of the few places that stays open past midnight in the quieter months too.

Plathiena Foodies Beach Bar – Plathiena Beach

Hidden away at the northern end of the island, Plathiena Foodies is an underrated gem. The beach is peaceful, and the bar blends right in — think beanbags, beach cocktails, and a few tasty mezze dishes if you're peckish. A great post-swim hangout.

DECK – Pollonia

Right on the port with an open terrace and low-slung seating, DECK is ideal for people-watching and slow Aperol spritzes. The drinks list is solid, and the décor walks the line between rustic and sleek. Come for a late afternoon coffee, stay for an evening cocktail or two.

Verina Cocktail Bar – Plaka

One of the newer spots in Plaka, Verina offers well-made cocktails in a minimalist setting. The vibe is slightly more upscale without being pretentious, and they often experiment with local flavours — think mastiha-infused drinks, Greek vermouths, and herbaceous spritzes. Great spot for a low-key but quality night out.
