Sa Plana Nova

We loved staying in Sa Plana Nova during our trip to Mallorca. It’s a beautiful finca (traditional farmhouse) which serves as a great base for exploring the east coast of the Island.

Overview

Nestled amidst the rolling countryside near Portocolom and Felanitx, Sa Plana Nova offers travellers a charming retreat that masterfully combines the rustic allure of Mallorca with modern comforts.

It's not just a place to rest your head; it's an experience, a gentle reminder of a time when life moved at a slower pace, when the chirping of birds, the rustle of leaves, and the distant braying of donkeys were the melodies of daily life.

The Finca's main building, reminiscent of the age-old Mallorcan architecture, houses cosy rooms with a homely warmth. Wooden beams, stone walls, and traditional décor allow you to immerse yourself in the island's rich history.

A dip in the sparkling swimming pool not only cools you down on a sun-drenched day but also offers panoramic vistas of the farmland stretching as far as the eye can see. It's the kind of view that compels you to take a moment, breathe deeply, and feel profoundly grateful.

While the vistas are undeniably enchanting, the resident fauna truly brings the place to life. Majestic peacocks strut around, their vibrant feathers shimmering in the sunlight. Their calls, combined with the playful antics of the resident dog, create a lively delightful atmosphere. And just a stone's throw away, the neighbouring field echoes with the gentle sounds of donkeys—a testament to the area's agrarian roots.

Sa Plana Nova is a strategic base for those eager to uncover the gems of Mallorca's east coast, known for its picturesque towns, azure coves, and historical landmarks.

The outdoor barbecue area stands ready for those spontaneous grill nights. With tables and chairs thoughtfully arranged, it's a setting that invites long, leisurely dinners under the canopy of stars.

In essence, Sa Plana Nova isn't merely an accommodation; it's a return to simplicity, a tribute to Mallorca's pastoral legacy. It's where nature, history, and modernity converge to offer a memorable sojourn. Whether you're a solo traveller seeking solace, a couple looking for a romantic getaway, or a family eager to reconnect, Sa Plana Nova promises an experience that lingers long after the journey ends.
