Nikita Pathakji’s London Supper Club

We’ve just spent ten days travelling around Mykonos and Sífnos in Greece, and our to-do list of blogs and guides is already piling up (we also need to catch up on publishing guides for Cape Town as well).

So when we finally managed to book a spot at Masterchef Professionals 2022 winner Chef Nikita’s supper club; something we had been looking forward to nabbing seats for since she started them years ago, we promised ourselves this evening would be different. Cameras stayed at home, no notes were taken, and the plan was simply to relax, switch off, and enjoy great food and company.

But the night turned out to be so special that we couldn’t resist writing about it. What was meant to be a rare evening without content creation became one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in London.

About Nikita’s Supper Club

Chef Nikita hosts her supper club once a month at her mum’s home in London. It’s a stylish, spacious house that feels instantly welcoming, set up beautifully for dinner with an incredible kitchen at the heart of it all. The atmosphere is relaxed and homely, but with the finesse you’d expect from a chef of her calibre (having previously worked in several MICHELIN starred kitchens).

Each supper club is limited to just 12 guests; ten seats around the main dining table (located just off the open planned kitchen) and two at the “chef’s table” attached to the kitchen island. The evening follows a set tasting menu, with the option to add a wine pairing, order by the glass, or choose a bottle. Nikita’s sister, Isha, shakes up impressive cocktails from her menu.

Tickets for the dining table cost £150 per person. Wines start at £12 a glass or £45 a bottle. Cocktails are priced from £10. We shared a bottle of red from Stellenbosch for our meal.

The cocktails are excellent quality; our dirty martini and brown butter old fashioned (Zaeem will be dreaming of the latter for a while) were note-worthy and were a perfect way to end the meal.

The atmosphere was fun and casual, with Nikita’s family helping out throughout the night and their lovable dog, Dexter, even made an appearance. The evening we attended was extra special, as it Nikita was joined by Dan Merriman, last year’s MasterChef winner, in the kitchen.

Our 6-course Menu

The evening began with welcome drinks and canapés in their stunning kitchen before moving on to the tasting menu that alternated between Nikita and Dan’s creations, each with a carefully picked wine pairing if you choose to.

The meal finished with a selection of petit fours.

Every course was faultless and for us two dishes, in particular, stood out.

Nikita’s ghee roasted monkfish (a dish she presented on MasterChef) was an absolute highlight, perfectly balanced and bursting with flavour; with perfect level of spice. Alice wanted to bottle up that Som Tam sauce.

And to finish, Dan’s chocolate and miso dessert was a showstopper. The kind of dish we will be thinking about for a long time after. He was kind enough to explain to us how to make it…. let’s see how that goes.

Our Thoughts on the Expereince

We both agree this was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Every single course was spectacular. Not a single one missed the mark. The flavours were incredible, with a balance of meats, seafood, and vegetable dishes that kept the menu exciting without ever feeling too heavy. The pacing was spot on too; by the end we felt perfectly satisfied and full.

Although Dan and Nikita were of course busy in the kitchen, they always took the time to step out, present each dish, and chat with us. After the meal, they joined everyone for a drink, answering questions and sharing stories, which made the evening feel even more personal. Nikita’s family played a big role too, welcoming us into their home and looking after everyone throughout the night.

This was our first time at a supper club, seated at a long shared table with strangers, and naturally we weren’t sure how it would feel. In the end, it turned out to be one of the highlights of the night. Everyone around the table shared a love of food and admiration for both Nikita and Dan, which gave us an instant connection.

Conversation flowed easily, mostly about restaurants, food, and the London dining scene but it wandered naturally into other areas too. By the end, we’d swapped numbers and made new contacts, something we hadn’t expected at all.

The evening blends fine dining with home comfort in a way that feels unique. It’s high-quality dining in an intimate setting, where you’re not only well-fed but also genuinely looked after. It’s an experience we can’t recommend enough, whether you go as a pair, with friends, or even on your own — you may just leave with new friends too.
